ok... this morning i met someone who really WOWS me alot...
an indian lady speaking hokkien...
and her hokkien is not those anyhow speak de... she's way more powerful than what i thought..
even when she answers any calls... its all in hokkien...
if i were to close my eyes and hear... i can almost imagine an old chinese hokkien lady speaking hokkien to another old chinese lady...
thats how incredible that is..

have been busy with work... with the manpower thing...
been doing organisation charts, collating the list of manpower...
and yea.. cos pats wanted student volunteers of about 30-4o people... means i can only hire 20-30 people... so once i hit my 20th people... the rest of the 10 is on standby...
and cos mummy initially told me some of her friends interested, but she never tell me any names or anything. i cannot put their names down... like that call play her out???

i'm back!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!
hahz... batam was fun.. but sad all the fun had to stop.
however batam was rather polluted...
so this trip... been to quite a lot of places...
first to kueh lapis factory, then to temple.
after that lunch at kings way restaruant, then to polo headquarters outlet, finally to kingsway restaurant for dinner.
then count down there for the new year.
next day went to dua bei gong to pray for wealth, then indo's biggest seafood restaurant for lunch and finnay shopping at mega mall.

starting of the trip was rather boring... cos we couldnt hear wad the coach was saying...
so first stop was to buy tidbits... the tidbits there was really cheap!!!! 'hahz... singpaore 1+ for a super big pack??? hahz.. mm... i went to get pam's bdae present.. hope she like it... (= its handmade...
hazh... ok.. after this stop, we went to the kueh lapis factory...
we were looking at how they make the kueh lapis.. and of course tried them...
hahz... spend quite some time there..
we then proceed to the temple...
cant remember wads the name.. but its to pray for good health, good luck and longevity...
(= the temple has 3 section... every section of the temple has a laughing buddha. however the last one has an additional lions on each side of the door... its said that if one wan to rid of his/her bad luck. smack the lion's butt... guys smack the lion on the left door while gals smack on the right.
initially i dint know... was attracted by the lion's teeth... so i went to pull the teeth... oops
ah jiong say i will be veyr fierce.. hahz.. so he told me to smack the butt... i was like smacking it like there's no tmr... (= ok la.. not so bad... but the statue was so hard that everytime i smack, there will be a sound... so i kinda did a drum roll... (=
after that went out to take a pic of the temple... then took a money bar pic too... (=
next we went for lunch... they had the singing competition first round... omg.!!! so many pple cannot make it but still went to sing... nearly went deaf... but we heard a powerful voice... hahz.. she sang zhang hu mei's song... was really really nice...
mm.... lunch wasnt that good la...
after that we went to the polo tee headquarters.... thats the main highlight of this trip man..
to buy cheap Ralph Lauren polo. its original!!! (=
whee!!! so went on shopping spree and bought 2... one for myself one for dear... mm... regretted not getting one with horse de... haix... wanted to get from other shops... but its not the same quality as that we went... so might be fake... haix... saw tis super nice one.. wanted to get...
mm... ok after polo tee there... we went for dinner... ooo.. dinner was good... its like singapore's wedding dinner's meal... really great!!! (=
hahz... then we started partying for count down... wah sai...
those ladies and uncles... i dunno wads with them... techno song they dance line dance?? no comments man...
mm.... so nick wanted to go dance... but dun feel like... until like later part when its really nearing singapore's 12 midnight ( batam 11pm) our whole family went to the dance floor to dance...
hahz.. atmosphere's like singapore's clubbing??? just that its lesser pple...
hazh.. we were holding poppers... so when its 12am... we all pop the poppers... and ran to uncle singing a bdae song!!!
hahz... my uncle's a jan 1 baby!!!! (=
so they actually invited all the jan1 babies... and there were onli 3... so rare!!!
i dint know mummy and aunty actually prepared a cake for him... so unexpected!! hahz..
so took pics for him... (=
whee!!! ok.. we went out of the hotel restaurant... seeing many households playing with fireworks...
indo's fireeworks is let go by individual pple... unlike singapore where you can onli see but not join in the fun...
was really fun... cousins all wanted to play... but we were prob all too tired... cos by the time we got back to hotel.. it was like 1 + 2 am le...
next morning...
woke up super early for breakfast... then still had time.. so went shopping in the hotel... after that went back to get our bags down to the lobby to check out... while waiting for the rest.. i went to take pics of the hotels.. took with mum pic too!!! and of course with nick and cedric too
hahz... when everyone was here... we went to a dry market... dint buy anything to eat.. .sian.. wanted to though...but mum bought jackfruit i think...
mm...
then went ot dua bei gong... for all adults who wanna gain wealth.. hahz... (= everyone went except for aunty reb and mummy... cousins all went down to take pics.... hahz...
had fatish with the big coin so took shots of it with us in it.. (=
after that went to batam/ indo's biggest seafood restaurant for lunch... al lthe food all quite spicy.... and their coconut is sooooooooooo big!!! i got a young coconut... which the adults say its good... sweet too... so shared with nick.. cos his was sour... hahz... then we went the nearby shop to look around...
after that we went to the mega mall for shopping... had 3 hours worth of shopping... bought a couple tee... and a toy pig back... hash.. (= if only i had more money with me and more time... would have bought back more clothes and nice stuffs...
bought coasters back for friends and colleagues... dint have enough time... sorry...
INDO HAD A&W!!! hahz..so we wanted to sit and eat.. but the pple really work super slowly...
ahz... by the time we bought... there's no more time.. so had to take away!!! and i had to gobble my ice cream...hahz.. .
miss their curly fries... everyone missed... we ate the curly fries like we never eat b4!!! hahz..
back on the ship...
most of us felt the stomach flying when the vehicle move too quickly across and uneven bump... we felt that on the ship... not once but alot alot of times... cos of the waves.. we were lucky we managed to get back without the heavy rain and storm...
cos the sky was really dark.
phew... anw... i was so tired that i fell asleep on the ship... but was scared awake by the wave like feeling again...
and when i know... we're back in singapore...
fresher air nicer car but back to the hectic life...
and guess wad.. i'm in 2009!!! and next day is the first day of school!!!

so here i am... back at work.. uploading all the pics and blogging about my trip.
